Dieses Buch war das erste, welches ich in Englisch gelesen habe, trotzdem ist das Buch sehr verständlich geschrieben sodass man sich auch bei einem nicht ganz kompletten Wortschatz die fehlenden Begriffe aus dem Kontext erschließen kann.Zum Buch selbst: Es ist sehr interessant, fast romanartig geschrieben. Man erhält fundierte, gut recherchiert Infos über den Menschen Elon Musk sowie seine Projekt und kriegt einen kleinen Einblick in den Geist und die Gedanken eines der größten Genies unserer Zeit.Habe das Buch in meinem einwöchigen Urlaub beinahe verschlungen!
This is a book that deserves a higher than 5 stars rating! It is very well written, in an engaging and motivating manner, describing in detail Elon Musk's life, his hardships and successes in his business and personal life. This is a book I would recommend to everyone, especially to teenagers and the younger population, since it shows another, not a common way of thinking, which leads to faster progress and ultimate success for those who have the courage and perseverance, and are willing to put in the effort and hard work required to achieve their goals. This being said, this book is going right to the top of my best books list! It is definitely worth reading, so get it, convince yourself, and then go out and make the world a better place using Elon as a role model!
Ich bin noch nicht ganz durch, jedoch ist es in einem Englisch geschrieben, dass man es, auch wenn man nicht perfekt ist, gut versteht. Das Buch zeigt sehr genau die Geschichte, die Probleme und die Erfolge, sowie den Lebensverlauf von Elon Musk. Dazu ist es sehr interessant geschrieben und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.
Das Buch zeichnet eindrucksvoll den Lebensweg von Elon Musk. Vielleicht kann ich einfach nicht genug davon bekommen, aber das Buch rast über die Lebensabschnitte nur so hinweg. Von vielen Personen wird kein umfangreiches Bild gezeichnet, sondern kurz ein paar Erlebmisse beschrieben. Für mich hätte das Buch noch ca. 1000 weitere Seiten vertragen ;-)Dennoch, das bisherige Leben von Elon ist extem packend und die Biografie vermittelt mit welcher Energie der Typ durch sein Leben schreitet.
Nach einem Raketenstart von Spacex, welchen ich live miterleben durfte, habe ich mich für die Biographie des Gründers interessiert.Habe mir das ebook und das Hörbuch gekauft.Die Biographie ist wirklich interessant und ich kann das Buch wirklich jedem empfehlen, der sich für Tesla und Spacex interessiert (die anderen kleinen Firmen habe ich mal weg gelassen ;-))Daumen hoch von mir für die Biographie.

It paints a portrait of a truly powerful, effective and resilient man who, led by his dreams of Big Change, does not seem to be attached to comfort and excuses in any way most of us are - and is not willing bow before any hurdle in pursuing his personal mission.Ashlee Vance has done great investigative and journalistic work with Elon Musk and people related to him. The biography reads very well and the structure gives a nice reading rhythm.Personally, the book gave me energy and inspiration for weeks and I plan to flip through it again next summer for a repeated effect.
If you're looking for a relativly objectiv biographie about the founder of Paypal, Space X, Tesla and so many more this is your book to go to. Through interviewing Musks' family, friends and even himself Ashlee Vance manages to paint a colorful picture of, in my opinion, one of the most genius man alive in the world today while not leaving out failures or disappointments.
Dass Elon Musk eine hochinteressante Persönlichkeit ist, weiß jeder, der sich schon ejn wenig über ihm informiert hat. Da ist es nur konsequent, sich weiter über die Hintergründe zu informieren und das Buch zu lesen.Für die Skeptiker, oder diejenigen, die ihn nich nicht so gut kennen: Er ist keim Exzentriker und Hochstapler, sondern Idealist und Optimist. Gnadenlose in beiden Hinsichten. Das und mehr erfährt man in dem Buch. Sehr interessant!
