Endlich bekommt Preacher die Aufmachung, die er verdient.Die Absolute Edition ist höchstens noch mit den Absolute Sandman Bänden zu vergleichen, ansonsten habe ich keine Bücher in meiner Sammlung, die da rankommen.Für mich bis heute Garth Ennis beste Arbeit, versehen mit den Zeichnungen des leider kürzlich verstorbenen Steve Dillon ein Meiserwerk für die Ewigkeit.Unbedingt kaufen!
Über den Inhalt der Serie braucht man eigentlich nichts zu schreiben... ein Meisterwerk in der nicht gerade kleinen Vita von Garth Ennis. Deshalb nur etwas zu dieser wirklich grandiosen und liebevollen Veröffentlichung: Die ersten 26 Bände der Serie in einem schmuckvoll gestalteten Ledereinband, der in einem stabilen Schuber eingebettet ist, ähnlich wie es Dynamite schon mit "The Boys" vorgemacht haben. Das sieht nicht nur prachtvoll aus wenn man es in den Händen hält, sondern stellt auch ein Highlight in jedem Bücherregal dar.Zum Begrabbeln und Lesen (der eigentliche Zweck) viel zu schade... dafür nutze ich die Originalbände oder die günstigeren Trade Paberbacks.Natürlich ist der Preis recht hoch, aber für Sammler und Liebhaber ein Muss und jeden Cent wert!
Wer gerne auch US-Comics liest, dem kann ich dieses epische Werk nur empfehlen.Die Aufmachung des Buches ist genial.Zu Preacher brauch man eigentlich nichts mehr zu sagen.In diesem Buch sind die US Hefte 1-26 enthalten.Das Bonusmaterial besteht aus dem Script zu Heft #2 , diversen Pinups und Leserbriefen.Wer Absolute Editions mag sollte zugreifen.
